We will use your ideas along with our expertise to help create your dream landscape that will maximize your yards full potential and give your yard great curb appeal. Green World Inc. believes everyone should have the yard of their dreams.

Our Story

Green World Inc. Design/Build Landscapes was established in 1979 by Tom Shirley, a 1978 graduate of Clemson University with a bachelors in Ornamental Horticulture and a minor in turf and business. Tom knew from an early age, that he wanted to work outside after he had started his own lawn mowing business at the age of 10 mowing the neighborhood lawns. Green World Inc. has been a mainstay in the Landscaping Industry producing quality landscapes for over 35 years. Recently it has moved into a family owned business with Tom's two sons Justin and Michael working as employees for Green World Inc.

Green World Inc. primarily covers the Upstate counties of Anderson, Oconee, Pickens, and Greenville with a majority of their work on lake front communities and surrounding areas. With our quality of work and strive for excellence, Green World Inc. continues to excel and produce quality landscapes.

Meet the Team

Tom Shirley

Founder & President

Tom grew up in Clemson, SC and attended Clemson University, where he graduated with a BS in Ornamental Horticulture and a minor in turf and business in 1978. He lives in Pendleton, SC with his wife Gina and many pets. He enjoys building and constructing rustic wood furniture, gardening, and in his spare time he loves to Saltwater fish.

Justin Shirley

Justin is the eldest of Tom's two sons and grew up in Pendleton, SC. He is a veteran of the United States Coast Guard where he served 6 years in the Jonesport, ME. He attended Clemson University after his time in service and earned a BS in Horticulture in 2015. He worked for Green World Inc. at the early age of 14 till he went into the Coast Guard in 2004. He is married to wife Brittney and has two children, Layla and Jesse. He enjoys working outside, hunting, fishing, baseball, and Clemson football.

Michael Shirley

Michael is the youngest of Tom's two sons. Michael graduated from Pendleton High School and attended Tri-County Technical College. He also attended The Company Acting Studio in Atlanta, Ga. Michael also has worked for Green World Inc. since 2006. He enjoys acting, Crossfit, and spending time with friends.
